LINEKA ACTIVATES BILATERAL BUSINESS RELATIONS WITH KAZAKHSTAN.

Lithuanian National Freight Forwarders and Logistics Association (LINEKA) and business delegation visited Kazakhstan together with the delegation led by the Minister of Transport Marius Skuodis from june 12 to june 16. A business forum of Lithuania and Kazakhstan was held in Almaty. During this visit, special attention was paid to the possibilities of closer cooperation between the countries in the fields of trade and communication.

Opening the Lithuanian-Kazakhstan business forum in Almaty, Minister Marius Skuodis invited Kazakhstan businessmen to more actively use the opportunities for cooperation, as well as to use the opportunities to transport cargo through the Klaipėda sea port. "Both Lithuania and Kazakhstan are geographically at transport crossroads, which must be harnessed and exploited. Cargo transportation by road, rail and sea transport, transportation of raw materials from Kazakhstan to Lithuania, digitization of transport and logistics areas, direct flights between the countries - these are relevant issues on the bilateral agenda of Lithuania and Kazakhstan", said Minister of Communications M. Skuodis. At the bilateral business forum, the leaders of Lithuanian and Kazakh industrialists' confederations and transporters' associations signed cooperation memoranda, which are intended to build and strengthen mutually beneficial partnerships, promote the creation of joint ventures, and create an effective mechanism for the implementation of cross-border agreements.
